I chose the song Abawi by Espoir 2000. This song is from the Ivory Coast, and the song is sung in French, because the French colonized the area centuries ago. The group includes three males. They sing about very important aspects in their songs, as they sing about what bad social practices are and why you should avoid these practices. A lot of the time, especially in today’s culture, singers tend to sing about dangerous aspects of life such as alcohol, guns, or drugs, so it is important to sing about good behaviors too. This band still exists to this day!

The song includes three male singers. One male sings, and then the two others sing short verses after the soloist long verses. The two different sets of voices do not intersect at any point in the song. The instruments involved is some sort of electric-sounding instrument, while the other is a drum. There is also a drum, but the voices overpower the instrument sound.
