Song Share Assignment Grading Rubric
Song Title (1 point) – Give your song a title that helps listeners to know what they are hearing. The title could be the actual song title, the artist’s name, or a genre title.
About this Song (5 points) – Tell us about the song you selected. You may choose to include information about who created it, the purpose of the song, where you found the recording, or descriptions of the musical characteristics. Be sure to include the reason why you chose this example.
Link (1 point) – Paste a link to your song so your classmates can listen to it.
Clarity of writing (3 points) – Is your written description “about this song” clear and concise? Are your sentences grammatically correct? Is your writing appropriate for your audience (peers, academic class setting)? Does your writing include a minimum of 100 words?
Listen and Respond (1 point extra credit) – Choose an example posted by a classmate and listen. Respond in the “comments” section at the bottom of the page (this may be in the form of a question, observation, idea, etc).
