I decided to choose a piece called “Sakura” which is a Japanese Folk Song. “Sakura” is the Japanese term for cherry blossoms, specifically referring to ornamental cherry trees and their flowers. I think it’s very interesting how when you listen to certain music pieces, you can truly feel how the artist is trying to make you feel. This music is purely instrumental and makes you extremely calm and happy. It’s such a pretty song and I think it perfectly matches the Sakura flower. The Koto, Shamisen, and Shakuhachi are the instruments in this piece. The Koto is the main one and the other two come in much later.
