This piece was originally written by Hua Yanjun. It is a type of Concerto for Erhu and orchestra. I chose this piece as it is just an absolutely gorgeous song, this recording performed by Wang Guowei on the erhu. It continuously builds as the piece progresses, until the ehru and orchestra plays as one, then it begins to die out. This was only first recorded at the very end of Yanjun’s life, as well as most of his other music. However he is still considered to be one of the most important Chinese musicians of the 20th Century.
