The song Iesu No Ke Kahuhipa by Ata Damasco is a song of worship for Jesus. This song talks about how Jesus is a shepherd and leads us (his sheep) in the right direction and protects us from the evils of the world. I chose this song because I thought it was interesting to see how similar this song is to some that I have heard in Church, in terms of the lyrics (not the Hawaiian words, but rather what they mean)–which shows how similar things are in Hawaii as they are here. I found this recording on Spotify.

The song is a very relaxing, folksy song. It is played on a string instrument that has a higher pitch–a ukelele. His music is very laid back and speaks of Jesus. The only two instruments I hear are his voice and the ukelele. He is a solo artist and his voice has a large range–from high to moderately low. He plays his ukelele at a relaxed pace–there is a steady beat but his playing matches his voice, in that it is a very calming sound.
