I picked the song “Te Oire Papeete” because I really enjoyed the constant strumming of the guitar. The title of the song translates to the papyrus city” in english.  I found the recording by looking up traditional Bora Bora songs. I started looking first by looking up “oceania music”, being very broad and just trying to get an idea of what I liked so I could dig a little deeper into something that I liked. I had found a long video of music from Bora Bora that really intrigued me. I really enjoy how their voices compliment the strumming of the guitar. It is hard to explain their voices, because they have a slight vibrato throughout the song. I can also hear some deeper harmony throughout the voices. I really enjoy this music because it is very calming to me and gives me a sense of peace.
