I chose this example because it was something that I would not have expected from music in this region. When I think of music from Africa, I typically would think of heavy use of drums and idiophones. However, I typically did not think about stringed instruments especially one like this that sounds so electronic. I wanted to gain a new open perspective on this music, and I feel as though this song accomplished that for me.
