This song is from the country of Spain. I chose this song because I love Spanish culture, and I want to travel to Spain at least once in my lifetime (hopefully more). My family hosted an exchange student in 2019 and because of that I took a Spain film and literature class in high school. I love this song because it highlights the guitar which is used in a lot of Spanish music, especially with Flamenco music in the south. I also think the melody is super pretty and calming to listen to. I also found the song that it was based off of, “Recuerdos de La Alhambra” or Memories from the Alhambra. La Alhambra is a huge palace in Granada it was a key point in Islamic culture in Spain for a long time.
