I chose this video because it fits the style of the Argentina Tango. When I first hear the word Tango I think of the dance not necessarily the style of music being played. However, during the video, I tried to combine these two perspectives. The dancers were able to demonstrate the story and emotion of the Tango. Their dance moves portray the syncopated rhythm and help visual people in a sense “hear” the rhythm better. Connecting what you are seeing to what you are hearing it helps to gain a better understanding of what it is you are feeling rhythmically. The music had sharp, accented notes as well as quick elongated moments. It sounded like there were maracas, strings, flutes, and piano as the instruments. The Bandoneon might have been being played as well.
