I decided to chose this example for my song share because after listening to the marimba video in class I knew that I wanted to find more examples of marimba music encapsulating the upbeat and energetic nature I had enjoyed so much.

I tried to find more background regarding the Marimba Band from Hillcrest College in Mutare, Zimbabwe, but unfortunately couldn’t find anything else other than them winning the Marimba Challenge Cup in 2017.   What I enjoyed the most about the video was the sheer happiness and joy you can see on the boy’s faces as they performed their piece at the competition.  There were vocals, dancing, and of course the only instrument Marimba.
