This piece is from New Zealand and it is titled, Haka of Wairangi – Maori Song with Chorus.  I chose this song because it is a piece of the Haka (or a form of it) and the Haka is traditionally preformed prior to rugby games played by the New Zealand AllBlacks. I recognized this because my dad played rugby and I have grown up watching matches on TV and watching the AllBlacks perform this. The Haka is performed often with dance accompanying the chant, which include lots of sharp movements, trembling hands, and protruding tongues. The purpose is to show the team’s/tribe’s pride, strength, and unity.
