For this assignment, I chose the song “Gangnam Style” by PSY. I originally heard the song when I was a kid, specifically playing Just Dance. I was able to find the song on both YouTube and Spotify. Some musical characteristics I heard in the song are the male vocalist, the tempo of the song is relatively fast, the song changes rhythm in the middle before going back to how it was at the beginning of the song. The song is extremely fun to listen to and is very catchy as well. I chose this song because I used to listen to it as a kid, and I thought it was a fun and great representation of the East Asia region.
