I selected “Homrong Sornthong” by The Prasit Thawon Ensemble, a traditional Thai classical music group. The song was released in 1994 as part of the album Thai Classical Music. It features traditional Thai instruments, including gongs, xylophones, drums, cymbals, and the pi nai, which is similar to an oboe. I chose this song because I wanted to learn more about the musical traditions of Thailand. I found it interesting how the instruments create a unique sound that is different from the music I usually listen to. This song helped me appreciate the variety of music found around the world.
