This song is a Vanuatuan piece of music. I found this while on Youtube, I picked this song because of the way the vocalist sounded. The sound of the instruments and all of the singers were beautiful and spoke to me. The instruments used were percussion using Bamboo as well as conch shells were used. This was created by the people of Vanuatu. From research this song was created as a connection to nature. For the Vanuatu people the ocean is not just a body of water but a life source, and has a spiritual connection. Songs created about saltwater by the Vanuatu people are often to honor the sea and tell stories. I could hear the  sound of the bamboo stick hitting the ground both with a beat on the ground and together. rapid beating and slow. The conch shells sounded like a flute. Besides the main singer there was a group of singers in the background. By just listening to the music it sounds like there was something being used as a shaker, or something was being shaken in the background of the song. I really enjoyed listening to this song, and I hope that is the same for others!
