The song I selected is played by a famous performer named Naseer Shamma who is from Kut, Iraq. Cities of Daffodils is performed by a group of people, the song is instrument-dominated with no lyrics, the song is played mainly using a chordophone which I believe is the one we saw during the live performance in class. The song is quite intense. I found this song by a google search where I saw the artist’s name and then looked through his performances on YouTube, I chose this example because I thought it was very soothing, and I can see myself adding this to my homework playlist.
