When I first started doing the song share for this chapter I instantly wanted to find something with the harmonium because I found it to be such a fascinating instrument. The first song I found was a piece called Tum to Tehre Pardesi and in it can be found the harmonium and what I believe is tabla, based on the strings on the outside, the circle in the middle, and the drums coming in a pair. This song is originally sung by Altaf Raja who is a Qawwali singer and he has a debut album of the same name as Tum to Tehre Pardesi.

While looking for this example I also found a very interesting group called V minor, a group that takes pop hits and uses instruments such as the tabla and the harmonium to put their own twist on them. While I listened to many of their covers, I found their mashup of Havana and Attention to be the most interesting as you can see, as well as hear, the usage of the violin in a way not seen in Western musicianship.
