I chose a piece called “Winter Song” by Isyana Sarasvati. I chose this song because there was an initial sense of tranquility to it that I really enjoyed. I figured that most songs from the Southeast Asia region wouldn’t be in English but this song was. The song has a lot of simplicity to it. There is one vocalist, being female and a couple instruments that seem to have a very consistent rhythm. There is a piano for sure and a couple synthesizers. Isyana Sarasvati is a well respected artist in the Southeast Asia region and many enjoy her music, including me now too!
