ABBA is a Swedish pop/rock/disco group from the 1970s and early 1980s, with one new album released November of 2021, which is also their last. Composed of four members, Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, they used their names to create an acronym that is also a palindrome. They have had many chart-topping records, including “Dancing Queen,” “Lay All Your Love On Me,” “Fernando,” “Waterloo,” and others. I chose “Waterloo” as this example because it was their first hit song, which also won the Eurovision Song Contest of 1974. “Waterloo” was their breakthrough song that paved the way for ABBA to become one of the most popular and successful musical groups of all time. I also really like this song, along with many other ABBA songs because of their upbeat nature and joyful feeling.
