After watching the movie “Throw Down Your Heart”, and hearing the amazing voice of Oumou Sangaré, I knew that I had to make my next Song Share about one of her songs. Recorded in Mali, Africa, “Wassulu Don” is a song centralizing on the town of Wassulu, the hometown of Oumou Sangaré. “Wassulu Don” is a song that combines traditional Sub-Saharan African musical culture with a mix of blues and rock to create an extremely energetic, upbeat song that is a delight to listen to. I highly recommend “Wassulu Don” for the type of energy to match the beginning of Spring.
