Jhené Aiko is part Japanese on her mother’s side. She had Japanese influence in most of her songs. She begins this song with string instruments. The string instrument in this song is similar to the traditional Japanese instrument the Koto. I chose this song because I love the message of the song. I feel it is a message in which everyone should listen to especially being a college student. As you begin college you are starting to become a new person and start your own adult life. You have to push through the bad in order to become the best and most successful version of yourself.
