The song I decided to talk about in this week’s song share is Un Jour Ou L’Autre by Jali. Jali combines his roots in sub-Saharan Africa and from his Belgium homeland in his music. This piece is in french because they speak some french in both Belgium and South Africa.
I chose this piece because I enjoyed the beat and how he expressed himself throughout the song. The rhythm of this song is very groovy and relaxing. It’s the type of song that makes you want to get up and dance to it. This piece has a lot of repetitiveness, mainly the guitar part. The leading voice of this piece would be the guitar.
