The song I have selected to share is Tu Veneno by Leonilo Jaimes. I should start off my saying this may be my all time favorite song. Leonilo Jaimes is a young contemporary artist who creates music in the Regional Mexican genre. Interestingly, I was introduced to this song and genre of music a few years ago by an old ex boyfriend, and thankfully was able to seperate it from that experience. In this song there are two guitars that play in harmony with each other while Leonilo sings. There are also pauses from the lyrics where the guitars just play, entrancingly and passionately. Last but absolutely not least, the lyrics are so beautiful and sincere. I chose to share this because I am in love with this song infinitely and I hope others can discover Leonilo’s music and support him as a growing artist well.
