The song I chose to talk about is called Traveller by Anoushka Shankar. She is a British-Indian musician and is known for playing the sitar. The piece contains a few of the traditional instruments, but the main one you hear is the sitar. It is played throughout the entire piece. Something that stood out to me about this piece is that there is a dancer who helps portray the story of the music. She also helps add to the music because she is wearing bells wrapped around her ankles. With each move she makes you are able to hear the slight sound of the bells ringing. Something that is unique about this song, is that Shankar incorporated some Spanish elements into the music and combined that with traditional Indian influence.
