I wanted to pick a song from Ireland because I have a lot of Irish in me from my mother’s side. I wanted a song that had bagpipes in it somehow, but I was drawn to this song instead. I enjoyed the Gaelic tongue and the harmony between the two female singers. It made me think of singing with my older sister. In the video there seemed to be some sort of accordion type of instrument that was played laying down while the instrumentalist is sitting down. I really enjoyed the calm sense of this song, I have heard more up beat Irish songs, but not usually something so meditative. I thought the addition of the guitar was beautiful as well. When I first saw it I was a little taken back, but it really meshed well with the whole piece. I loved this piece, it was simplistically intriguingly beautiful .
