The music of The Lion King was written by Hans Zimmer in conjunction with a political refugee from South Africa by the name of Lebohang Morake, shortened to Lebo M. Much of the music featured in both the movie, the animated (1994) and the live action (2019), and the following Broadway production (1997) has much influence from South African music. And dare I say it featured even more in the Broadway version than the movie.
The song I chose is called They Live in You. Featured in the Broadway musical, this song takes place after the Elephant Graveyard scene. Mufasa is teaching Simba about the great kings of the past. In this song you can hear marimba and shekere.
