This is a traditional Chinese song played on the Erhu.  The exact origins of the song are unknown, but the first records of its existence were in the 1930s.  I picked this song because I love the sound of bowed string instruments, and this is one of the more famous songs played on the Erhu.  This specific version is interesting because it adds a piano accompaniment to add a more modern twist on a traditional song.  I thought that the piano parts were a great addition to the overall emotion of the piece.
