For my song share this week I chose a street performance by a Native American musician. The song is titled “The Last of The Mohicans” and it comes from a film with the same title centering around the Mohican tribe. I chose this clip because I wanted to choose something less familiar and I also just enjoy discussing street performances. The artist in this clip has over 1 million subscribers on YouTube where he makes many similar videos. In this performance, the original song is played softly in the background while the artist switches between his voice, a Native American flute, and some unique rattles. His voice possesses the guttural quality that is common in this type of music and he does a good job at playing the instruments. Overall, the performance was entertaining and quite emotional.
