The song I chose for the North American Unit is the timeless jazz and swing era piece by The Ink Spots, “It’s All Over But The Crying”. The Ink Spots I think are renowned for their harmonies and really emotional songs. It was released in 1947 and is memorable because of its melancholic lyrics and the smooth, soothing vocals of The Ink Spots, which is one of the reasons I chose it. The song itself has a tone noted by the gentle guitar strumming and their amazing group voices. I actually found this song in a video game franchise (Fallout), and have been listening to it for a long time since the game came out along with the other songs in this style, I feel that this is a good representation of American jazz.
