This piece is performed live by a group from Sri Lanka. I chose this song because when I was listening to a playlist on YouTube full of Sri Lanka songs this one caught my attention right away and I love the energy it gives me. I don’t know the lyrics but I found myself trying to sing along to it after the second chorus as it is very catchy. This song is very happy and has the tropical laid back feeling; this piece makes me feel like I am on a warm beach or a resort. There are a lot of different instruments in this piece that can be hard to hear at times but you can see them playing in their performance. There are lots of instruments in this piece from more western ones such as a piano, keyboard and a more modern drum set; to what seem to be more traditional ones such as their drums, flutes, and a stringed instrument that they showed but I am unsure what instrument it is. This piece also seems to follow more of a structure with a chorus and bridge compared to some of the other pieces we have listened to in class.
