I found this song on Smithsonian Folkways, and found the full version on YouTube. This song is a traditional Work Song, sung by fishermen. I originally chose this piece because I thought the cover was pretty with the pink Cherry Blossoms, and as I read more and listened to it, I thought that it would be a good example. It incorporates what I think are: the Ryuteki (Flute) and the Sho (Drum), as well as two main vocal lines, one being a soloist and the other being a response with multiple voices.  I think that this piece is pretty, and does a good job of showing what we learned in class about Japanese Music.
