I chose Satu Bulan, a song by Indonesian artist Bernadya , which translates to “One Month”. The song was released in 2023 and is written in Indonesian. Bernadya’s lyrics translate to a song about a break up with repeating lines “Namun kau tampak baik saja, Bahkan senyummu lebih lepas” (But you look fine, Your smile is even looser) and “Sudah adakah yang gantikanku?” (has anyone replaced me?). The song has a simple piano line underneath it, with no obvious other instruments. It has a softer tone as you can tell she is upset and sad. I found this song by looking up music from indonesia and finding a list of the top 100 Indonesian songs from 2020-2023. Under her name and this song, comments said that she had similar style and vibe to Olivia Rodrigo and that interested me.
