I chose this song because it’s so slow yet up beat, initially I didn’t want to do Bob Marley song because I felt like everyone already knows him, but why wouldn’t I want to do a song share for a genre that is very much connected to this performer. He  finds a groove, one that can’t be replicated to its fullest. This is actually considered a popular reggae wedding song. Which isn’t something usual at least for the Western world. There is the steel drum which is attached to party music and fast dancing, not a slow dance. It isn’t just a solo or duet which is common as well. It is a solo with back up performance, and yet the solo doesn’t line up with the rhythm, it is free and goes at it’s own pace, while the back up singers tend to stay on beat. Reggae is an interesting genre, but a good one at that.
