I selected Sangeet Mhotsav by Sukraj Singh, Harjodh Singh, and Kirsten Kaur Virdee because I love how it sounds when three people play each other’s instruments. Sukraj Singh plays the Tabla, Harjodh Singh plays the Diruba, and Kirsten Kaur Virdee plays the Sitar. They all play at the same tempo which allows you as a listener to find the beats and rhythms fairly easily. The music is settled and is not all over the place, extremely organized. It sounds like something you would hear in the Disney movie Brave. I found Sangeet Mahotsav on YouTube Sangeet Mahotsave means: “Sung Together” and is essentially a pre-wedding party where families come together to sing, dance, and celebrate.
