I looked up the area were in at the moment to see the countries I could pick from and I chose Japan. I chose Japan because I quite liked the example that we heard in class. This song is usually sung in international settings as a representative of Japan. Sakura, or cherry blossoms are the national flower of Japan. They represent a time of renewal and optimism, the pops of pink represent the end of winter and the beginning of spring.
