I found this example on Youtube, and the purpose of the song was a drinking song for Irish Pubs. I choose this song for its catchy and peppy vibe as the song is very repetitive with the lyrics continually building on each other at a fast pace. In the background, you can hear a snare drum rolling to keep the beat moving forward along with a string instrument (which could be a violin), that plays the melody. There is a call and response between the leader and the rest of the group that sings the chorus together. When the repetitive chant of the song arrives, the instruments cut out and all you can hear are the vocals that seem to be male vocals.
