The song I chose is called “Pressure Drop” by Toots and the Maytals. The band is a prominent Jamaican musical group who are well known for their contributions to ska and rock genres. Originally known as The Maytals, they were formed in the early 1960s when ska was most prominent. The band is known for their harmonious vocals and putting a great deal of passion into their songs. I hear that it is accompanied by a set of drums and bass guitar. I chose this song due to its ties to the reggae and ska genres, as well as it being such a catchy song.
