The song I selected is One Summer’s Day by Joe Hisaishi. I chose this song because it is from my favorite childhood movie Spirited Away. This movie is about a little girl named Chihiro who is moving to a different place and her father gets them lost along the way. Somehow they end up in another dimension where there are no humans. Her parents turn into pigs because they ate the food of that world. Chihiro needs to find her way back to the world she came from and she is lonely and scared. The main instrument in this song is a piano but also includes violins and wind instruments. Joe Hisaishi’s music appears in over 7 different anime films. Some of my other favorites include Ponyo and My Neighbor Totoro.
