I originally picked this Oceanuc Bora Bora South Sea Music song, as I found interest in Hawaii and Oceanic music overall. The Pakipika Hema Folk Choir sings this song I had originally found it on Google, which redirected me to YouTube when I was searching for traditional Hawaii Music. Once looking into the history behind this song, much of the Hawaiian traditional folk music is traditional to many Hawaiians as it resembles the gathering of community members to perform and to work as one to create such beautiful music. In addition, it was commonly known that Hawaiians incorporated significant things into their arts. Many are pasted on stories from older generations, to tell their children, and even legends that many ancestors believed in.
We also see that many Hawaiians are going to be Polynesian. Considering Polynesian music is going to sound very similar to the Bora Bora South Sea song, although standard Polynesian songs are going to incorporate indigenous instruments, that is going to be some common instruments to use like the flute, but also more traditional instruments like the tonga, and other distinctive wooden drums that are commonly used!
