The piece I selected is called Murraya originally written and performed by Mark Salona. It is strictly instrumental and very calming with a soft background while emphasizing on the main instrumental, which is the da ruan. I love the sound of this instrument due to it reminding me of our western guitar. Its quality is different and has more of a twang to it which was very interesting to me. When we were listening to examples in class, the moon lute stood out to me and in the process of exploring more like it, I found this piece.
