After our concert with Nick, I was interested in hearing more about the oud. Luckily enough, one of the first search results was for Arabian Oud Music. Something that fascinated me about the oud was its soft sound compared to its large body. I felt that, unlike the guitar, which has a heavier tone, the oud had a very delicate. It was also interesting to learn about how the strings are doubled and that since they can’t perfectly tune the two strings that it gives the sound a “fluffier” feel.
