BTS or 방탄소년단 is a boy band based in South Korea, they are also one of my favorite bands. I never thought that I would enjoy listening to songs in a completely different language, however, there is something about the style and beat of this music that draws me in. A lot of BTS music also has a message which is another reason why I enjoy listening to it.
K-pop, in general, has been growing in popularity worldwide for many years. Additionally, there have been many Asian artists that have collaborated with Western artists, for example, this remix of Mic drop has Steve Aoki in it. I think this proves that it does not matter the language that you speak, or where you come from, music brings everyone together.
This is a very upbeat song. When listening to this song I noticed that the melody seems like it should not work with the lyrics, however, it does. Also because the melody is coming from Steve Aoki, mixing different beats together, I would consider this electronic music. Steve just added a high-intensity beat to the original hip-hop melody. I also hear a drum.
