My first impression of this piece is that it’s a Mariachi Band has the violin, trumpet, and harp involved, as long as vocals. Sometimes they are in a call-and-response (harmonizing) and then come back in unison. The tempo of the song doesn’t change, it stays upbeat and at times it’s only instrumental. With the instruments, they have some sort of solo sometimes, like the trumpet and violin. The reason I chose this example is that when we were listening in class about Mariachi music, it was very enjoyable, and love how the ensemble works, it all ties together. I also play the violin, so seeing it played a different way is so cool.
