The song I’ve chosen is performed by a man from Laos, he is a professional playing the Khaen, an instrument we learned about on thursday. This instrument is very popular in southeastern asia, specifically thailand and laos. The melody and rhythm are designed to imitate the sounds of a train. It gives the watcher an idea of what it looks like to play the instrument as well as a good understanding of how the unique instrument sounds.
