This song is from Colombia, personally, one of my favorite countries. I had the opportunity to spend an extended amount of time in Colombia a few years back, and the country holds a special place in my heart. Not only because I was able to experience the culture and the lifestyle, but also because four of my siblings were born there. So this song is actually a recommendation from my Colombian sister as one of her favorites, and in her opinion, it is a great dance song. The dance element is evident throughout the piece, keeping a very upbeat and consistent rhythm. We also hear the emphasis of the vocal melody on top of the well-known Latino sounds of brass (trumpet mainly) and driving percussion including a keyboard in the rhythm section.
