For my final song share I decided to pick one of my favorite bands that represents one of the most iconic eras of music. I chose Light My Fire by The Doors. I listened to The Doors a lot growing up and when I bought my first ever record player my mom gifted me her collection of The Doors records. This band has always been very important to me and as I got older, I started listening to a lot of other psychedelic rock and Woodstock-era bands. I specifically picked Light My Fire because it was one of the early singles from the band and it laid the way for many other rock artists. The style is very representative of the 1960’s and brings about images of iconic rock artists that characterized the era. Without The Doors we wouldn’t have the many other artists they inspired, ranging from Nirvana and Pearl Jam to Lana Del Ray.
