Following my historical interests once more I stumbled across “Liberation March”. Made for and by North Vietnam during the war it promotes the main interests they aimed to achieve. Unity across Vietnam, communism, and kicking out the invaders i.e. the Americans. For this is draws on historical parrels and attempts to rally the spirits of people who have had to endure the thundering roar, aka bombers unleashing their payloads, for years. The chorus that sings this further emphasizes all of it. With everyone singing, showing unity, proudly, showing hope in victory, it simply symbolizes the struggle they had undergone. Seeing the end of the great struggle as the beginning of a great future.
