This song was written in Myanmar which is right on the border of India and Thailand. I actually was requested this song by my Laos friend back at home after I told him I was trying to find a song from Myanmar, and within 30 seconds he already knew a great song for me to listen to. I chose this song just from the beginning beats to it, it has slow to start with the song not actually starting until 1 minute in. The build-up to the song is really why I chose it, I hear drums with a soft clap in the back and then the music ultimately begins. This song has a love style of music to it which is quite interesting to me because it’s not something I would expect to see all the way in Southeast Asia. Even though this song is pretty long from what we see back in the US ( which is around 2-3 minutes) I was actually fully engaged in the song, even finding myself listening to it multiple times throughout the day. I find it very interesting that there’s music all around the world that takes an American twist to it with the instruments and beats even though it is in an entirely different language. But If I do say so myself I believe that that reason is why I found myself so into the song, and the artist is pretty too. This song is definitely going in the playlist and is one Id recommend giving a listen to if you’re into that type of music.
