There is not much known about Patrick Watson’s, the artist of “Je te laisseai des mots.” Patrick Watson is an American-Canadian artist and has many different songs that happen to be in english. He released this a French song which is from a French movie called Meres et Filles (aka Hidden Diary). The song is a lovely ballad talking about writing love letters. This seems to be only fitting because France is known as the city of love. I chose this song because I have always had an interest in the French culture and European culture. I also have a personal connection to France because I have studied and trained in ballet for 15 years of my life. I also play this song when I decide I want to practice a simple barre routine.
