For this week’s song share for chapter 11 I decided to listen to a playlist on Spotify and pick the song that stood out to me the most. The song that caught my ear was Inna Mi Yard by Freddie McKay, I found that this song fits all of the descriptions from our example in class. It has a laid back, slow groove feel, and the constant steady or repetitive beat that can be heard. Other reasons I thought this would be a good choice because of the message that the text gives and the instruments in the background such as drums, piano, shakers, clappers and a metal sound that can be heard at different times. All of this leads it to be an enjoyable upbeat yet laid back song to vibe too.
