Bazzi is a Lebanese American. His mother is American and his father is a Lebanese immigrant. From a young age Bazzi was always interested in music and had pride in his ethnic background. He had learned to speak Arabic. He also had learned to play Arabic instruments, the oud and the guitar. The oud is a strong instrument with a short-neck. Bazzi says “Growing up with a Lebanese family, you really learn the importance of having a good base,” meaning he had learned to have good work ethic.
